The Great Loop Route

This is our new plan for this summer, and fall boating. Will head north, go up the Hudson River, through the Trent-Severn Canal, then the Georgian Bay and North Channel, down Lake Michigan, and south by way of the Illinois River, the Mississippi River, Tennessee River and the Tombigbee Waterway, to Mobile. Then down the west coast of Florida, through the Florida Keys, and back up to Miami. Then up the Intracoastal and home to Melbourne to complete the Loop. We have already done the portion from Miami to the Chesapeake, so we will actually cross our wake in Miami.
